After 5 years of hardwork, a medical student finally becomes a doctor.
However, he will start as a house-officer (HO) in a government hospital.
After 2 years (previously 1 year) of service, he is promoted to medical officer (MO).
He decided to further his study. After another 3-5 years, he is now a specialist.
He is not satisfied. He studies deeper. Eventually, he ends up as a sub-specialist.
What does sub-specialist mean?
Does it really mean more seniority than specialist?
Think about it :)

I think the concept is: if you are jack of all trade, you will be master of none...
If you are the sub- sub specialist, you are the only one!!
eg: Dr. TOh C.L. chils psychiatrist
Prof Sen- child orthopaedic surgeon, Dato Shong- Malaysia first spine surgeon!
In the end, it still depends on what you like, and what you choose.
选你所爱, 爱你所选
Actually what I m trying to tell is about the word 'sub'.
'Sub" means below right? So according to seniority, it means sub-specialist is below the specialist?
???
I think what you mean is,
subnormal is below normal,
subconscious is not so conscious
so sub specialist is not so specialist?
so we should say its superspecialist then hehe :-P
Ya make sense as well :)
