Getting Lazy

Recently most of my fellow bloggers are getting inactive. I am not an exception as well. I wonder why I have no motivation to update when others are not updating. Now I know why I am blogging. Mainly because most of my friends are blogging and I just joined them for fun. Since this is my 78th post, I will make another 2 posts to make it 80 posts and quit. Really lazy to manage my blog anymore......

Copyright

Basically, they just hope that people mistaken the shop and enter theirs. Free publication......
Actually, is it against the law in terms of copyright???

EOS 7 - Day 5

Result release day. Mixture of happiness and sadness. The happy part is most of us pass the exam and is allowed to proceed to semester 8. Congratulations to Kee Huat, Hao Chun, Edwin, Joanne and Hannis who are awarded distinction. The sad part is 3 of my batchmates could not make it :(
Anyway, happy holidays to all my C107 batchmates.

EOS 7 - Day 4

Today is the last day of my exam. And again, 8 stations with 3 rest stations. However, we are given 10 minutes for each station so time shouldn't be a problem for today's exam. Overall, most of us did better than yesterday. Really hope all of us can pass.
*Not going to touch my text book for 2 weeks. Wanna have a rest :)*

EOS 7 - Day 3

Finally, we survive the 3rd day of exam. Eight stations and three rest stations. Again, 5 minutes for each station - taking history, counseling or physical examination. And again, sweat all the way until the last station which is a rest station for me. Hopefully can pass today. Tomorrow will be the last......really last :)
One last night for revision. Tomorrow gonna rech at 730am to be quarantined. Really can't wait to finish the exam :)

Teoh-Chew Ah Di
Just wanna introduce my housemate, Teoh-Chew Ah Di.
Why this name? Actually the name is given by the mixed-rice stall's Boss in Rasa Jaya Foodcourt (RJF) who is also Teoh-Chew lang. TCAD, Dato Chua and I always went to RJF for lunch. I wondered since when the boss start noticing him. One day, they finally introduce to each other and since then, they are very friend to each other.
How close are they? We even got a free drinks from him. The boss said is a gift for Chinese New Year. Cheap food and free drinks, think Dato Chua must be happy to death. He even invited us to his house. Really nice. He also asked my TCAD to go for fishing...hehe.
So lucky to have this housemate. Understanding, helpful, brilliant etc...... Not to forget, he is still single and available :)

EOS 7 - Day 2

Second day is OSPE. Twelve question-answer stations and nine rest stations. A total of 1 hour and 45 minutes of suffering. Again it is SPEED, AGILITY & QUICKNESS because only 5 minutes allocated for a station.
However, today I am not doing well compare to the paper 2 days ago. Actually overall is not too hard, but just I have insufficient time to think and organise.
Anyway it's all over. At least I know what to practise for my OSCE which is on next Monday :)

EOS 7 - Day 1

Today is the 1st day of my EOS 7. First paper is Short Answer Question (SAQ). Although it is named 'short answer', some of the answers are not short at all. Two and a half hours for fifteen questions, means 10 minutes is allocated for every question.
Overall, the paper is not as difficult as I think. All of us shouldn't have a problem to pass this paper. The only problem I encountered is limited time. I am rushing to answer most of the time and just able to finish it when we are requested to put down our pen.
'You have 10 minutes for a question, there's plenty of time......hahaha...' said Dr Z. It is true for a specialist but not for a 4th year medical student. Actually, if you think deeper, SAQ means 'Speed, Agility, Quickness', don't you think so? I think this is the main purpose for this paper, just none of us realize :)

Happy Chinese New Year

Do not hit rats if you see them,
smile and welcome them.
Why?
Because the year belongs to them.
Within few more hours,
we may eat pork until face 'pok pok' and body 'fat fat'.
Happy Chinese New Year !!!

Missing Home

Already 6 weeks away from home. Kinda missing my comfortable bed and my house environment. With the exam just around the corner, wondering how many of you have the same feeling ---> MISSING HOME !!!
A lot of my colleagues were away from their hometown for a longer period, wondering how they cope with this feeling.
What I have done is calling back everyday, listening to the familiar voice from my handphone. Although my parents just visited me last weekend, still the feeling persists. I keep telling myself to hang on. Five or six more days to go, I will be going back to my hometown.
PS : To all my colleagues, study hard and take care of yourselves.

Funny Scenario

Today, CK and I were studying near the sofa in the library. We saw AP K*** came in and walked towards the newspapers corner, searching for something.
A pharmacy dude, sitting on the sofa, was reading THE STAR happily. Suddenly, his STAR was snatched by someone and followed by 'Oh, can I have it? (holding THE STAR in her hand)......Thanks.' After that, the lady just walked away.
The poor dude was stunned for 5 seconds before he knew what actually happened. He walked away in despair :(

My Name
What Jen Ern Means |
You are fair, honest, and logical. You are a natural leader, and people respect you. You never give up, and you will succeed... even if it takes you a hundred tries. You are rational enough to see every part of a problem. You are great at giving other people advice. You are friendly, charming, and warm. You get along with almost everyone. You work hard not to rock the boat. Your easy going attitude brings people together. At times, you can be a little flaky and irresponsible. But for the important things, you pull it together. You are very intuitive and wise. You understand the world better than most people. You also have a very active imagination. You often get carried away with your thoughts. You are prone to a little paranoia and jealousy. You sometimes go overboard in interpreting signals. You are wild, crazy, and a huge rebel. You're always up to something. You have a ton of energy, and most people can't handle you. You're very intense. You definitely are a handful, and you're likely to get in trouble. But your kind of trouble is a lot of fun. |

Downgraded?
After 5 years of hardwork, a medical student finally becomes a doctor.
However, he will start as a house-officer (HO) in a government hospital.
After 2 years (previously 1 year) of service, he is promoted to medical officer (MO).
He decided to further his study. After another 3-5 years, he is now a specialist.
He is not satisfied. He studies deeper. Eventually, he ends up as a sub-specialist.
What does sub-specialist mean?
Does it really mean more seniority than specialist?
Think about it :)

The End of a "Rising Star"

This is what had happened to a "Rising Star".
Flying too fast and attracting too much attention.
Because of Power and Jealousy, it reach its end sooner than others.
Nothing left. Not even a little bit of concern about it.
No more memory about its contribution. Very soon, it will be totally forgotten.

You Are 92% Happy |

No really sure about it that but at least I know that I seldom be sad :)
Btw, the percentage is very subjective.

Journey & Destination

"What is more important is the journey, not the destination. Everyone will end up in the same destination, don't you think so? As a doctor, the journey is how you come out with the differential diagnosis and order the management plan. Final diagnosis is not important."
How many of you actually agree with this statement? I disagree with it because if the destination is not important, then why do we start the journey? What is going to inspire us to continue or complete the journey when we fall?
To me, both are equally important. Only with an aim in our live, we will continue to work on to archieve the best outcome.
What do you think?
